We invest. We build. We stay.

Infrastructure only matters if it works over time. We partner for the long term, take responsibility beyond delivery, and build solutions that keeps port operations moving.

Invested for the long term

Plug enters projects as an infrastructure investor and strategic partner, committing capital alongside ports and utilities to align incentives and share risk from the outset. Our model reduces upfront burden while securing long term commitment to performance and asset value, delivering infrastructure that is bankable, scalable and built to remain competitive as regulation and energy markets evolve.

Built on insight, proven in practice

Plug designs and builds high capacity shore power and maritime charging infrastructure ready to real port conditions. From grid connection and transformer upgrades to cable management and ship interface systems, we manage technical complexity end to end. Our solutions are engineered for safety, compliance and seamless integration with existing port operations.

We stay for the whole journey

Plug remains engaged long after commissioning, operating and maintaining infrastructure across its full life cycle. Through structured asset management, continuous monitoring and performance optimisation, we safeguard uptime and ensure infrastructure delivers predictable value over time.

Investing together

Plug enters projects as a long term infrastructure partner. Through shared ownership models and structured financing, we invest capital, align incentives and carry risk together with ports and utilities. This creates predictable pricing and infrastructure built to perform over decades.

Building for real world operations

From feasibility and grid studies to engineering, construction and commissioning, we design shore power systems for continuous use in demanding port environments. Every installation follows international standards and is tailored to traffic, load profiles and future expansion.

Performance that holds over time

Infrastructure only matters if it works over time. Plug operates and monitors systems through a unified platform that connects energy flow, usage data and commercial settlement. We stay involved after commissioning to secure uptime, compliance and performance.

Built for the full lifecycle

Our work does not end at delivery. We remain responsible across the full lifecycle of the asset, from upgrades and expansion to evolving energy strategies. That continuity protects long term value for ports and partners.

    Partnership, shore power & maintenance

    Scaling critical port infrastructure

The Port of Bergen is Norway’s second largest port and a key maritime hub. With high vessel traffic and ambitious environmental targets, shore power required more than installation. It required a long term operating model built on shared responsibility, technical reliability and financial strength.

    Partnership, shore power & maintenance

    Infrastructure designed for demanding conditions

Port of Montrose plays a critical role in supporting offshore energy and regional maritime traffic along Scotland’s east coast. The port required a shore power solution that could handle demanding operational cycles while remaining reliable in harsh weather conditions and high-load environments. Together, we developed a solution tailored to the port’s vessel mix and grid constraints, ensuring compatibility with both present operations and future expansion.

Enabling shore power cruise connections ahead of a global event

In Port of Narvik we are developing a dual low‑ and high‑voltage shore power solution for cruise ships, enabling clean and flexible port operations through close collaboration with the local grid company that resulted in significant cost savings for the project. With the facility planned to be operational ahead of the FIS Alpine World Ski Championships 2029, shore power will be a key enabler for using a cruise ship as a floating hotel, addressing limited accommodation capacity while ensuring low‑emission operations during a high‑profile international event.

We do the heavy work, quietly

Plug combines operational experience from large scale energy infrastructure with the financial strength and technical expertise of its owner, Eviny, one of the largest renewable energy groups in Norway. Our teams work directly with port authorities, engineers and operators on the ground, as long term partners responsible for infrastructure that cities and communities depend on.
